Mark Hinton joined Nebraska Athletics in October of 2024 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Hinton is responsible for prevention, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for the Nebraska Track and Field and Cross Country teams.
Prior to the Huskers, Hinton worked as a track and field athletic trainer at the University of Virginia from 2020-2023.
Hinton spent 12 years with the University of Arkansas as a full-time athletic trainer (2012-2020) and as a graduate assistant (2009-11).
A graduate of Emporia State University, Hinton received his bachelor's degree in athletic training in 2009. He went on to earn his master's degree in kinesiology/exercise science from the University of Arkansas in 2011.
