Dr. Matthew Teusink is an orthopaedic surgeon and associate professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed undergraduate studies at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. He attended the University of Iowa for medical school and orthopaedic surgery residency. He then completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute. His clinical practice involves arthroscopic treatment of tendon and ligament tears of the shoulder, reconstructive procedures about shoulder for instability and rotator cuff tears, and primary and revision shoulder replacement surgery. His research focuses primarily on outcomes of shoulder replacement surgery and the natural history of shoulder arthritis. He also has a particular interest in teaching and has taught at multiple national courses in addition to teaching residents with UNMC. Dr. Teusink works with individuals of all ages, from young kids to elite athletes to aging adults, with the goal of getting back them to being healthy and active. He lives in Elkhorn, NE with his wife and 2 boys.
