Murphy Maurer

Murphy Maurer joined the Nebraska Athletic Department as an Associate Director of Development in August of 2024.

In her current role, Maurer is responsible for advancing relationships with Husker supporters across the country, to secure gift commitments for capital projects, endowments, and current-use funds.

Prior to Nebraska, Maurer served as the Director of Corporate Partnerships for the Omaha Supernovas, a professional volleyball team that competes in the Pro Volleyball Federation. In her role with the Supernovas, Maurer was responsible for initiating and maintaining relationships with the team’s corporate partners during the inaugural season.

Maurer, a native of Hastings, Nebraska, received her bachelor’s degree in sports media and communication from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 2020. She worked as a marketing and fan experience intern for Nebraska Athletics in 2019-20. From there, she went on to earn a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Creighton University, where she worked as a graduate assistant in the athletic department for two years.
