Parker Smith

Parker Smith joined Nebraska Athletics as an Event Operations Specialist in July of 2024 and is currently Assistant Director of Event Management.  He oversees game operations and event management for women's basketball, track and field, cross country and rifle.  Smith also is responsible for credentialing all home Husker events, including concerts and special events.

Smith assisted with the opening of the new Nebraska Outdoor Track and Field Complex in the fall of 2025. He served as Championship manager for the 2026 B1G Outdoor Track and Field, marking the outdoor track championship at Nebraska in a decade, coordinating logistics for multiple vendors.

Smith previously served the Huskers as an Event Operations Intern during the 2023-24 season where he helped coordinate and staff various Nebraska events. 

Prior to Nebraska, Smith was a student worker for University of Nebraska-Kearney Athletics. He assisted with season ticket sales, management and operations of various UNK athletic facilities and oversaw facility operations for men's and women's basketball, track and field and softball. Smith also had direct oversight of all parking operations at UNK during special events and football gamedays. 

Parker, a native of Sumner, Nebraska, earned his bachelor's degree in sport management with a minor in marketing and management from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in May of 2024.  

In his free time, Parker enjoys golfing, collecting vinyl, and keeping up with Major League Baseball.
