Seth Dorsey

Seth Dorsey joined the Nebraska Athletic Department in May of 2024 as Deputy Athletic Director for Internal Operations. Dorsey has previous experience managing large athletic department budgets after serving in similar roles at Washington and Texas A&M.

As the CFO for Husker Athletics, Dorsey will provide oversight and management of the department’s financial resources, and oversee all decisions in the areas of finance, accounting, budget, purchasing, financial reporting and audits, travel, and insurance.  Dorsey also provides oversight to our Event Management and Operations team.

Dorsey joined Dannen’s leadership group at the University of Washington in January. While with the Huskies, Dorsey oversaw all aspects of Washington’s business and financial decision-making for an athletic department budget of more than $135 million.

Before his time in Seattle, Dorsey previously served as the Associate Athletic Director of Internal Operations at Texas A&M.  In this role, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business office as well as budget review for an operating budget of $170 million.  As the primary liaison with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Dorsey managed annual audits and reporting, designed and implemented a new budgeting process and assisted with the creation of all financial modeling.

Dorsey held several positions at Texas A&M including Assistant Athletic Director – Internal Operations, Manager of Athletic Business Operations, and Assistant Athletic Financial Manager.  Prior to his time at Texas A&M, he worked at Princeton University as the Assistant Manager of Business and Ticket Operations.

A 2013 graduate of Baylor University, Dorsey earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance.  He went on to earn his master's in sport management. Dorsey and his wife, Ali, have two sons, Luke and Will.
