A member of the Nebraska Athletics Department since 2009, Stacey Burling serves as the Director of Education & Engagement Programs in the Life Skills & Enrichment Department.
Burling individually meets with and provides guidance and support to student-athletes from men’s basketball, bowling, football, golf, and soccer. Additional responsibilities include facilitating community outreach requests seeking student-athletes, coordinating all other major outreach events, and playing a major role in the success of the annual student-athlete achievement event, “A Night at the Lied”.
Burling assists with the Husker Advantage program, major Life Skills events/workshops, and the Post-Eligibility Opportunities (PEO) program. She is responsible for the planning, facilitation, and marketing of N-volved, a leadership group focused around social climate and interpersonal skills.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Burling earned her bachelor’s degree in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration in 2009. She earned her a master’s degree in Marketing, Communication Studies and Advertising from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2012, as well as a master’s degree in Critical & Creative Thinking from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2021.
