Tyler Loecke joined Nebraska Athletics as an Event Operations Manager in July 2025. In his position, Loecke oversees game operations and event management for men’s gymnastics, women’s gymnastics, swimming and diving, and wrestling. He also assists with volleyball, football, and other events within the University of Nebraska Athletic Department.
Prior to the Huskers, he served as an Events, Facilities and Game Operations Graduate Assistant at Texas Christian University Athletic Department. As a graduate assistant Loecke served as the game manager for volleyball and beach volleyball. Other duties included assisting with the game operation and facility operation of football, baseball, track and field, men’s basketball and women’s basketball.
Loecke has a wide range of experience in events and facility operations, serving as an intern with the United States Golf Association at the 123rd U.S. Open in the summer of May 2023, where he assisted vendors and other USGA departments in the execution of the U.S. Open. Additionally, Loecke served as a Game Day Operations Intern for the Iowa State Athletic Department where he served as the lead intern for wrestling. Also, he assisted with the game day setup and tear down of football, track and field, gymnastics, softball, men’s basketball and women’s basketball. In addition, he contributed to the execution of the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championship.
Loecke has also completed an internship with the Seattle Mariners as a Ballpark Operations intern from May 2022 to August 2022. Also, he has experience in working different bowl games where he assisted with the 2022 TaxAct Texas Bowl and the Armed Forces Bowl December 2023 and December 2024. He found his passion to work in events and facilities when he worked at Des Moines Golf and Country Club from March 2017-2021.
Loecke earned his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University where he majored in event management with a minor in hospitality management and graduated May 2023. He also earned his masters degree from Texas Christian University in Liberal Arts and graduated May 2025.
Tyler is a native of Urbandale, Iowa.
