Will Morey is in his second season as an assistant director of strength and conditioning at Nebraska in 2024. Morey boasts experience at both the collegiate and professional levels as a strength and conditioning coach.
Morey came to Lincoln after two seasons as the head assistant strength and conditioning coach at New Hampshire in 2021 and 2022. Prior to New Hampshire, Morey was the head strength and conditioning coach at Hartford for one year.
He boasts previous Big Ten experience having spent the 2019 season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Rutgers football program. Morey was at Miami for the 2017 and 2018 seasons, working in the football strength and conditioning program while aiding in the return to play and nutrition areas.
Morey gained NFL experience with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015. With the Eagles, he assisted not only with the strength and conditioning program but also with data analysis in the sports science department.
Morey was an assistant strength and conditioning coach for Villanova from 2014 to 2015, working with the football team and several Olympic sports. Morey got his start as an intern at Brown in 2014, and he also was a strength and conditioning teaching assistant at Bridgewater State University in Boston from 2013 to 2014.
A certified strength and conditioning specialist and USA Weightlifting certified sport performance coach, Morey is also certified in First Aid/CPR/AED. He earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology sport studies from New Hampshire in 2007 and his master's degree in strength and conditioning from Bridgewater State in 2014. Morey is nearing the completion of his doctorate degree in health and human performance from Concordia University Chicago.
