Freshman (2024-25)
One of the top golfers in the state of Nebraska, Olivia Lovegrove joins the Huskers after an outstanding career at Lincoln Christian High School.
Lovegrove captured the 2022 Nebraska Class C individual state title before adding a runner-up finish as a senior for the Crusaders in 2023.
A four-time district champion, she also helped Lincoln Christian to a trio of district team titles (2020, 2022, 2023).
Lovegrove hopes to challenge for immediate playing time in Nebraska’s new-look lineup in 2024-25.
“Olivia has been a dominant player in Lincoln and the state of Nebraska this past year,” Nebraska Head Coach Jeanne Sutherland said. “She loves Nebraska and has worked hard to be the best player she can be to help us be a better team. She is strong in the classroom and a wonderful person. We are looking forward to her being a Husker.”
Before Nebraska
Lovegrove was the 2022 Nebraska Class C state champion and the 2023 Class C state runner-up, after finishing fourth at state as both a freshman and sophomore at Lincoln Christian High School.
A four-time district champion, Lovegrove fired a Class C state record 65 on her way to the district title as a junior in 2022. A two-time conference champion, Lovegrove’s 66 in 2023 also set the conference record.
The four-time all-state selection and three-time Super State pick was also the champion of all three Nebraska Junior Golf Spring Series events in 2023. She helped the Crusaders to a state runner-up finish as a freshman in 2020 and three district championships in 2020, 2022 and 2023.
Lovegrove was a member of Nebraska’s Four-State team in 2023 and 2024. She was also the runner-up at the 2024 Nebraska Girls Amateur Championship.
