Fans Can Watch Saturday's First Fall Scrimmage

The Nebraska softball team will hold the first of four fall intrasquad scrimmages this Saturday at Noon, and the scrimmage will be streamed live for free on Huskers.com. Nebraska will also scrimmage at Noon on the next three Saturdays (Oct. 3, Oct. 10 and Oct. 17) with additional live video streams planned for the scrimmages on Oct. 3 and Oct. 10.

Nebraska's fall roster consists of 22 players, including the return of seniors Tristen Edwards and Samantha Owen, who are back for a fifth season after the NCAA granted an extra year of eligibility for all players with the 2020 season being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Edwards and freshman Billie Andrews will captain their teams for Saturday's scrimmage. The duo won the right to be captains based on scoring the most individual points last week in six different team competitions. The captains then "drafted" their teams for this week's competitions, which conclude with Saturday's scrimmage.
